Stewart A. Lyons
Stewart has worked on 33 television series, 24 pilots, and dozens of features and television movies as a Co-Executive Producer, Line Producer, Director, Writer, Production Manager, and 1st Assistant Director. In total, he has on-screen credits for over 600 episodes of television. He is currently the Co-Executive Producer of the Breaking Bad prequel series, Better Call Saul now shooting in Albuquerque, New Mexico. As the Line Producer for Breaking Bad, Stewart won two Emmys for Best Dramatic Series (2013, 2014). He also has won a Golden Globe Award, three Directors Guild Awards, a Producers Guild Award, two Peabody Awards and many additional honors. He was the only person, cast or crew, who was on the set of Breaking Bad, from the pilot until the final day of production. In addition to Breaking Bad, Stewart has worked on the popular television series Taxi, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Cagney & Lacey. Stewart has analyzed, scheduled and/or budgeted over 100 television pilots for every major network as well as HBO, Starz, and AMC.
Stewart speaks frequently at colleges and universities throughout the United States about the development and production of auteur television as well as scheduling, budgeting and production operations. In 2013, he was a guest lecturer at the Mertz Akademie in Stuttgart, Germany. He has been a lecturer or panelist on production topics numerous times for the Directors and Producers Guilds of America.
Stewart received his BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and earned a Masters in Business Administration from NYU’s Stern School of Business. He is also a graduate of the DGA/Producers Training Program.
